Wizard

It is possible to configure the calibration manually, but we have provided a basic wizard to set up the calibration for most scenarios which can be started within the “Calibration” settings dialog from within a batch.

When running the wizard any previously defined calibration settings will be overwritten. There are two levels to the wizard; Calibration and Blank Subtraction. The blank subtraction option is only available within EA batches.

When configuring calibration and blank subtraction groups, the wizard will automatically put any sequential standards / blanks into the same group. If any standards / blanks are separated by samples, then they are put into separate groups. For calibrations, this behavior can be overridden in favour of always putting all standards into a single calibration group by enabling the “Only create a single calibration group” option.

If the “Only create a single calibration group” option is not enabled then the “Perform drift correction” option is available (as it needs at least 2 groups to perform drift correction). The wizard will automatically configure for drift correction between any calibration groups that it creates.

Once the wizard is complete, the settings will have been configured for calibration and/or blank subtraction.
